Lucas Zelarayán Retires from Armenian National Team

Lucas Zelarayán, the forward of the Armenian national football team, will not continue his appearances for the national team. Yeghishe Melikyan, the head coach of the Armenian national football team, said this during a meeting with journalists.

"I knew that before I came to the national team, he wanted to end his career in the national team. I spoke with him myself, explained that it is a difficult period for the team now. And he, accepting that fact, joined the team for the previous games. After the match against Ireland, Zelarayán said that he no longer wants to continue his appearances for the national team," said Melikyan.

As a reminder, Lucas Zelarayán joined the Armenian national football team in 2021. The forward has played 26 matches for the national team.
